The media hive :: Everything, Everything

Welcome to the media hive's Everything, Everything skin. This is a quick reference to help you learn about the unique features of this interface. For a more thorough description of the features of the media hive, check out the documentation for the Snowblind skin.

  1. This is the index that allows you to view different pages in the catalog. Just hover your mouse anywhere in the orange rectangle to activate it. When you do, you'll see the first and last entries of a given page appear right below the index. If you want to see those items (and everything in between), just click your mouse and the page will be loaded.
  2. You can sort the catalog by using the text and buttons at the top of each column. Clicking on a column name sorts on that column. Clicking on a "+" button adds a column to the sort. For example, if you clicked Artist, then the + below Album Title, all the albums by an artist would be in alphabetical order within that artist's rows.
Click the up/down arrow to toggle between ascending and descending sort order. Use the left/right arrows to reposition columns. The "-" button will remove a column from the table - you can add it back with the "Add Column" list that appears when one or more columns have been removed.
  3. Click on the "add" link to add an item to the playlist.
  4. To rate an item, hover your mouse over a "User Rating" field, and click when you see the number of (solid) stars you want to assign it. (When you assign an entry a user rating, the system rating is automatically changed to the same value.)
  5. Use this button to show or hide the playlist.
  6. Clicking a playlist entry will take you to the page it's on, and highlight its row.
  7. The short arrow will scroll the page down to the menu bar. The long arrow will scroll down to the index. These are useful when you have a very large catalog, and want to jump right to the entries table.
